The Last Cinema

The Last Cinema is an ongoing archive which specialises in informed and considered cinematic writing, essays and interviews.

It has featured work on the cinematic adaptations of James Joyce, examined problematic Serbian cinema of the early 1990s and been home to interviews with some of the lesser celebrated figures behind the great movies, such as Storyboard Artist of the Blockbusters; Pete Von Sholly.

Predominantly run by Colin J McCracken, with occasional contributors, it serves as a platform upon which to showcase the kind of cinematic longform which McCracken grew up reading, but has all but disappeared from many film publications.
